Welcome to Joanna's Childminding Services

Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my website; below is a brief introduction to me, my setting and the childcare services I offer.

My name is Joanna; I am 40 years old and live with my partner Mark and two sons; Connor who is 13 and Luca who is 10 in the Great Ashby area of North Stevenage. I have been a childminder for 10 years and enjoy my job immensely. Previously employed in the hotel industry I knew as soon as I had children of my own that a change of career was imminent. I got a great deal of pleasure from providing stimulating activities for my own children and seeing them succeed and achieve and knew I could do this for others.I work with an assistant, Mark my partner, and when working together am registered to care for :

No more than 8 children under 8 years; of these, not more than 5 may be in the early years age group, and of these not more than 2 may be under 1 year at any one time. Overnight care is not permitted.

I am a member of the National Childminding Association. As a family we do not have any pets and do not smoke, any visitors being asked to refrain.

Mission Statement

My aim is to provide attentive, sensitive care to children ensuring they are at all times, safe, secure, happy, stimulated and comfortable in their surroundings.

I see my role as being to provide a normal daily routine and environment incorporating all the things a child would ordinarily encounter with their parents, such as walks, visits to friends, attendance of toddler groups or school, stimulating play, craft and visits to local shops and parks.

I also aim to develop them socially, physically, intellectually and emotionally by means of age and stage appropriate toys, activities and outings.
